I am a high school teacher in an alternative classroom setting.  I have several hobbies, including crocheting, reading, baking and computer games.  I currently have an Etsy shop selling crocheted dollhouse afghans, as well as selling dollhouse afghans on Ebay.  This is my first time blogging, so we’ll see how it goes.

    Hi 😀
I saw this http://www.chefmessy.com/2009/02/happy-valentines-for-crayon-out-loud.html and thought of you 🙂 I know you teach high school but I thought you may know some primary or nursery school teachers that may like this idea 🙂 I think it’s a great one for all kinds of applications and it even teaches chemistry 😀
    Mo 🙂

Thanks for the link! I know a few teachers that might like to try this. I’ll keep it in mind for my daughters as well for when their crayons get down to nubs.

Hey there 😀 I don’t know if or where in your curriculum you cover the holocaust, but I was wondering if you had seen or heard about this: http://hmh.org/ed_butterfly1.shtml
I have two crochet butterflies that I am sending but am also going to do a couple of card craft ones with my wee boy 🙂
    Best wishes, Mo 😉

I don’t cover it in my classes, but this year we took our students to a woman who survived the Holocaust and gave a presentation to the students. I haven’t heard of this before, but it’s something I’m going to share with the social studies teacher. He might want to do something with the students with it. I think I could send a couple of crocheted butterflies myself.
